Position Type: Full-Time (4 Positions Available)
Compensation: $ 22.00-$25.50 per hour
Mileage Reimbursement: $0.72 per mile for work-related travel

Position Summary
As an ILS Case Manager, you will provide individualized, community-based Independent Living Skills (ILS) instruction to adults with developmental disabilities. You will work alongside each individual to build practical life skills, promote self-determination, and increase independence while respecting their personal choices, strengths, culture, and goals.
This position requires traveling throughout Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Orcutt, Lompoc, and Santa Barbara to provide services in individuals’ homes and throughout their communities. Mileage for approved business travel is reimbursed at $0.72 per mile.
What You’ll Do

Develop trusting, respectful, and professional relationships with the individuals you support.

Provide person-centered Independent Living Skills instruction based on each individual’s goals and Individual Services Plan (ISP).

Teach daily living skills including meal preparation, housekeeping, budgeting, shopping, personal health, time management, transportation, and community safety.

Support individuals in developing communication, self-advocacy, social, and problem-solving skills.

Encourage community integration through recreational, educational, volunteer, and employment-related activities.

Document progress toward individual goals using accurate, timely, and professional case notes.

Collaborate with families, Service Coordinators, and other members of the individual’s interdisciplinary team.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Ensure services are delivered safely while promoting each individual’s dignity, choice, and independence.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Sociology, or a related field preferred.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently while managing a flexible schedule.

Passion for teaching rather than doing, empowering individuals to become more independent.
Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid California Driver’s License.

Reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance.

Ability to travel throughout Santa Barbara County.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.

CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Ability to use a smartphone, tablet, and computer for documentation.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
